A. User-Provided Information (KYC & Profile)
  • **Identity:** Full Name, Email Address, Phone Number.
  • **KYC Data:** Tax Identification Number (TIN), National Identity Number (NIN). *These are collected only for identity verification and are stored in an encrypted manner.*
  • **Organizational Data:** Business name (if applicable).
B. Tax Wallet Data (User-Owned)

Data stored in your private "My Tax Wallet" module is owned by you and is never shared publicly:

  • **Tax Entries:** Amount, Date, Tax Type (VAT, PAYE, etc.), and Description of each tax payment.
  • **Evidence:** Uploaded receipts, screenshots, or PDF documents. *These are stored securely outside the public web root.*
  • **Import Data (Gmail/SMS):** When you use the auto-import or smart paste features, we only extract the transaction date, amount, and charge type. **We DO NOT store the body of your emails or full SMS messages on our servers.**

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To **Verify Identity:** TIN and NIN are used solely to confirm your identity for the purpose of generating verifiable tax statements and certificates.
  • To **Provide Services:** To calculate your total tax contributions, display your tax ledger, and provide the platform's core functionalities.
  • To **Generate Reports:** To create PDF tax statements/certificates that you can use as verifiable evidence to third parties.

4. Data Security and Encryption

We implement robust security measures:

  • All sensitive data (KYC, Passwords, Access Tokens) is stored using **encryption-at-rest** and transmitted via **HTTPS/SSL (encryption-in-transit)**.
  • Your Tax Wallet data is strictly private and separate from the public project data.
  • Only authorized administrators (for KYC review) have limited, auditable access to your data.

5. Google and Third-Party Data

If you connect your Gmail account via our "Auto-Import" feature, you explicitly grant us permission to:

  • **Search:** Read messages that match bank alert keywords (e.g., 'Debit Alert', 'Stamp Duty').
  • **Process:** Extract amount, date, and charge type.
  • **Discard:** We immediately delete the raw email content from our temporary processing memory.

We do not sell your personal data or tax information to any third party.
